Quite of still

Quiet of still

Silence is deafening when nothing stirs.
Not a word is spoken, not a voice
Is heard.
Only thoughts echo in the quiet of still.
The more is extracted the more the mind is filled.

Only when something is overwhelmed
Does it succumb and drown.
Silence is essential if enlightenment is
To be found.

The soul speaks out loud.
Just listen.
We only need not make a sound.
It is gentle, only a whisper and always

Nurturing, uplifting and incorruptible
Is the message delivered.
While everything else is lost.
It will remain hither.
All else will pass but silence will bloom
And chaos shall wither.

From the confines of a prison cell
